Riley had finally found a reason to finally stay in Castor. He had a reason that he wanted to be here. Riley had friends he had his cousin which was probably one of his best friendships that he had. This boy had pretty much the world in his hand, his own world that he had everything that he wanted. Riley had finally had what he wanted, people that weren’t like his parents that would toss him to the side, people that actually wanted to be his friend, to actually talk to him. A new and completely wild experience for this young Australian kid. His home certainly wasn’t as friendly, well maybe they were, he just never found them as accommodating as he had wished that they could be. This kid enjoyed people that were spontaneous, enjoyable to be around. Maybe he just had bad luck at home, because he had never found anyone like that, not till he came here, well maybe besides his cousin Oliver, who was the definition of fun and spontaneous. Maybe he and his family were pretty close even more so now that they lived with one another, well maybe not the whole family, but more like the kids of the family, because it seems that their parents couldn’t handle teenagers, only small children, then they ship them off to some other country to be someone else’s problem. Sad yet the more that Riley, Oliver and Olivia thought about it, the more that they realized that it was true, that their parents couldn’t handle them, so sending them off all together was the best thing.
Yet, as time went on and Riley had gotten close to one person in particular, it seemed that it would crash and burn, like it seemed to have done with his parents. He understood that Oliver had felt the need to kiss Amara, but not right in front of him, not when they had talked to one another about how Riley liked Amara, and how much that Oliver needed to find a girlfriend, really the two of them were close, but it seemed that everything had fallen apart that moment when he had kissed Amara, that every thing that Riley had felt towards her was a bottled up rage that he had to unleash upon his cousin. Sure he didn’t punch the guy like he wanted to, but instead dragged him off to another room, to try and remind him how much he liked Amara. The two of them yelled, honestly Riley couldn’t really blame Amara for listening in on their conversation. He probably would have done the same as well. But what she had said, it was echoing in his mind over and over again, drilling itself into his mind, heart, soul and confidence, it was like everything that Riley was made of, was destroyed in just a matter of seconds like a atomic bomb. He couldn’t believe that she would say that, that would believe that he was a liar about his feelings, that he was just jealous of his cousin.
Riley had been moping, not doing much more than eating, sleeping and constantly thinking about what he was going to do with the hole that was melting into his heart. Oliver had been trying his best to make it up to him, about what he had done. But there was nothing that would fix whatever was already done. Olivia would just kick him if he was moping somewhere on the floor. She was probably the most encouraging of the two, seeing as she would force him to feel something other than what he had been feeling, empty. He lay on his stomach on his bed, tracing his finger on the bed spread, listening to his ipod trying to find something other than what Amara had said to fill his mind, not with much success, the only time he had been able to was the time that he was listening to heavy metal, but that could only help so much till he was able to drown it out. Growling, sat up. “okay. I’m tired of this.” he told himself, standing up and grabbing his coat, and throwing it on. Running out of his room, he ran quickly down the stairs. “Be back eventually!” Riley informed whom ever was within the house hold. It didn’t matter, they wouldn’t even realize he was gone to begin with.
Running as fast as he could, he ran towards where Amara lived. His mind rushing with what he was going to say. Stopping at the end of her drive, he looked up at the house, catching his breath for a moment, his breathing heavy. As it finally slowed, Riley trotted up to the front door and knocked on it loudly pausing only to say “AMARA DU’MONT! GET YOUR FUCKING ASS OUT HERE!” his fist pounding loudly against the door, his fist hurt from him clenching it so tightly, his hot breath, emitting a cloud of white mist. He didn’t even notice how cold it was, Riley just wanted to talk to Amara.

* amara vanity du'mont ! every night when everybody has fun, here am I sitting all on my own, it won't be long yeah till I belong to you
Silence. You either hate it, or you love it. There was no in between. The loudness of the Du’Mont home was almost overwhelming and it would drive Amara Du’Mont mad pretty much. She was the complete opposite of her sisters. While they liked to be loud and obnoxious, she liked to be quiet and just to sit and relax. Drink a nice cup of hot apple cider and just relax and watch TV or play her guitar. But it was clear that at this moment in time, she wanted things to be loud and just to drowned out all her thoughts. And there was nothing for her to drown out her thoughts right now. Kaylene was kinda off her partying and drinking stage and she didn’t do it at home any more, but she did it at parties. And Bre, well, she was off some where with her boyfriend. So it was Amara and Kaylene. Amara was left with her crazy wild sister to keep her from going insane with the thoughts she had about hurting Riley, but Kaylene wasn’t talking to Amara due to all the things Amara had thrown at her for the past few days or so. So Amara, was left to drowned out the thoughts herself. Which was difficult because she was so used to just being relaxed and quiet. She was used to keeping to herself and not talking. There was no way that she could keep these thoughts in any more, but she had to. Who could she tell? There was Bryan, her cousin who was always there for her and that would never change. There was Kaylene, her sister who was her best friend pretty much. There was her dog, yeah okay he would listen, but she would look super insane. And there was Riley, the guy who she could count on for any thing, her best friend and she hurt him. As Olivia said, she ripped out his heart then melted it with her bitch-vision. And that line was running through her head now. Along with Riley’s, that door is now shut, line. Though Oliver added afterwards that it is never locked, it was just a statement and it was pretty much Riley saying he never wanted to see her show up at his door step again. And she said she never would. That night was crazy and there were things said that should have never been said.
The little head that was laying on Amara’s chest watching Handy Mandy, was the only guy who would never hurt her. Her cousin, Alec. This was their day. The Du’Mont girls got Bryan’s kid whenever they wanted him. Even if they were his cousin, and they were his, he called them their aunt. Auntie Mara. Auntie Kay-Kay and Auntie Bre. Of coarse, they all had a toddler twist to them and they were said a certain way, but he called them his Aunt’s. He had Carolina, but she wasn’t to connected in his life. The girls saw him at least every other day. They loved him. He had his own room and his own toys here. When he came to his ‘Aunts” house, he was spoiled and gained at least five pounds. And of coarse, so did whoever hung out with him the most. Amara always took him under her wing because she was the nice, sweet one who would give him whatever but make sure he didn’t write on the walls or pee in the corners of rooms.
All the silence that had been around, finally didn’t bug her. She was able to slowly fall asleep, she had bags under her eyes from not sleeping like she should be. She was always up just staring at the ceiling or wall. Trying to think of a way to get her best friend back. Riley was a big part of her life and without him, she wasn’t complete. Riley had been a huge impact in her life. She had never really trusted a guy since her dad did what he did to Kaylene. That trust for any guy was broken, that trust was broken because one single guy decided to do what he did to one of her little sisters. The things that low life did, were horrible and she hated her father for it. But, Riley, he made her gain that trust for guys back. He gained her trust, but Amara completely wrecked it with her stupidty. She did it, she wouldn’t blame it on Riley or Oliver kissing her. But herself. The rage and anger just poured out. And now, she was stuck with losing Riley. He was going to move back. And she was going to be here, without him. A piece of her, was going to be gone.
The all deserving sleep was ruined by knocks to her front door followed by some one shouting at her to get her butt outside. Of coarse, the words were a little bit more wild that butt. Her cousin only moved an inch, he wasn’t whining he just moved slightly. ”I’ll be right back booger butt” Getting up and laying Alec down a little bit Amara became frustrated now. This person was teaching her cousin bad language and going to get the all wonderful cops called for ‘disturbing the peace’. Whoever this was, was going to get a mouthful. She obviously knew them, so she could bring out rude Amara on them. Before even getting the door fully open Amara started, ”I would really mind if you didn’t fucking yell, and shout. We would have some…” before finishing her sentence Amara looked up at who it was. ”You’re. Uhm, wait. What are you…Hold on.” Flipping her body around to grab her coat off the back of the couch she looked at her cousin to make sure he was okay. Kaylene was home. He would most likely look for her if he needed some thing. Slipping her jacket on she stepped out of the door way and closed it. ”I am here. Are you going to tell me how wrong I was, or how your door is no longer open for me. Maybe you came to make my life a living hell and tell me you are leaving. I already know about that. Maybe, tell me how much you actually do like me and try to make me believe it. But you are to late, your butterfly allergic cousin got to me and I realized you aren’t jealous and I was a complete bitch. So have at it. Go ahead and yell at me. The speed of which she was talking probably made every thing she just said, so unclear. But she didn’t care. Maybe this was just a dream. Maybe this was how she was suppose to deal with it. This was her sign, then again. Maybe this was real life. ”Have at it. I am listening.” She was going to probably get sick. She didn’t care. The face, even if it belonged to some one who probably hated her for hurting him, was beautiful and it was worth it.

So there was several things that Riley didn’t mind he didn’t mind that the fact that his family sent him off to Canada, he didn’t mind when both of his cousins Oliver and Olivia showed up on his doorstep to become his new found room-mates. There was nothing wrong with that, because who wouldn’t like to have someone to talk to? Riley certainly enjoyed the fact that he had them there with him, he was sort of suspicious to why Olivia had come, she wasn’t musically the type of rebel that would piss off their parents, she was quiet and to herself, most of the time, sure she had a mouth on her, and she knew how to intelligently argue with someone, but she didn’t seem to be the person that would get in trouble with her parents. So her arrival was slightly alarming, especially when she told Oliver her reasons to be there, and not Riley. That could only mean that his parents were up to something and Olivia was going to be here for Oliver. Riley knew that maybe someday he would have to return home, but he didn’t want to have to do it in such a bad wake of emotions. Riley didn’t like the place where he and Amara had ended, where they had left in such a hatful ungrateful mood. Sure Riley was hurt, but he never meant to loose Amara, nor did he mean to have said what he had, about her not allowed to come over any longer. Maybe for a short time, but not indefinite.
Olivia had told him of her conversations with Amara. She was a loyalist to her family that girl was, she had tried to convince Amara that how he felt was true, how much that he liked her, and how stupid she was. Yet she barely made a dent into the wall that would be Amara and her stubborn attitude. It was almost sad, that someone that he liked so much couldn’t believe him. Riley had to second think everything, to ask himself if it was really worth it any more, if he wanted to be with Amara, or even get the chance to tell her on his own terms, how he felt about her. There was only one answer to that, yes he did, he wanted to tell her everything, how that he wanted to tell her every time that there was a free chance, but he didn’t deal with rejection very well, that he didn’t know if he could handle her telling him no, and then they to have a normal friendship, he had seen so many good friendships go down hill that way, and he didn’t want to make their friendship to go the same way.
He already knew that he was going to leave soon, that he was going to have to head back home, and Oliver and Olivia would be left behind in his wake. But he didn’t want leave Amara without him telling her everything, that he could, even if she wasn’t going to listen, he would do it any means to tell her to make her read what he had to say. So that’s what he was going to do, that is what he had to do. No Oliver lip locking with her, or her to have to listen to what he had to say behind closed doors, this was going to be done on his own terms, and no one was going to stop him, not without a fight, and not without him finally telling her, that he was in love with her.
So this is why he was standing outside her door, heavily breathing from the run from his home to hers. It wasn’t a short run, it didn’t clear his head from what he was feeling, he couldn’t feel the cold air that was rushing threw his body like ice, or it rushing threw his lungs drowning him in cold air. This was the run of his life and he wasn’t about to quit. There was something about the run, that reminded him that he was here for Amara, he was here to finally let her know what he had been meaning to tell her. There was nothing worst than having to wait for her to come. With his luck maybe she wasn’t even here, and her sisters were going to answer the door and look at him with wide eyes and wondering why the hell he was cussing and asking that Amara get her ass down stairs. That probably would have been awkward. He stood, just watching the door, his body shaking both because of how cold he was, and from the nerves that was surging threw his body. This is why he was never allowed to become an actor, he got nervous right after the heat of the moment.
When he finally heard movement on the other side of the door, he looked up at the door, his eyes blank, wondering who it could be, he watched the door open slightly as the voice of Amara came from the inside. Riley crossed his arms, glaring up at her. He listened to her ramble on about something and then telling him to hold on. As if he had the patience to just wait, without speaking, he had a mouth full to say and well he really wanted to get it out, quite soon. He kept silent, looking at the ground as he listened to her go on her tangent. Riley kicked a rock off the steps, listening to what she had to say, with mild patience. ”You got a few things right.” Riley stated, looking up at her quickly. ”You were a complete bitch. Here I thought you were such a great friend, yet the moment that you learn I like you, you insist that I am a liar. I thought you knew me. I don’t know whatever gave you the illusion that I would ever lie to you, especially about feelings about you. Secondly, I never told you directly that I liked you. I didn’t even know you were listening in. I took Oliver out of the room, and he and I were talking about it. So its not like I had a sudden burst of jealousy and went on a huge rant right in front of you. I went and took my cousin into the back room, and reminded him how much I liked you. Because me and Oliver have, had that conversation before. And in that conversation, he even said that we did, that he knew I liked you. But I was taking my sweet ole time.” Riley snapped, pacing back and forth. ”What I don’t get. Is after you, cutting me so deep, that I can come here. Look you in the eyes, and tell you that I am still in love with you. And do this.” Riley said as he stepped forward, placed his hand behind her neck and the other wrapped around her waist as he leaned forward and kissed her, all in one quick motion. Riley Michaels. Was either a hopeless romantic, or one stupid idiot.

* amara vanity du'mont ! every night when everybody has fun, here am I sitting all on my own, it won't be long yeah till I belong to you
There were so many memories that Amara and Riley shared together. She never really shared quite as many memories with a person before she met Riley Micheals. They kinda just, always were together. And most of the time, they things they did together weren’t all to planned. They kinda just happened. They both were able to drive, so they didn’t have to worry about their parents. Well, okay Riley really didn’t, they didn’t even live here. And well, neither did Amara’s mom. Her dad did, technically. But he was behind bars, so he didn’t really, count. So really, the two could do pretty much any thing. Amara never regretted a minute her and Riley spent together, even after they had their little dispute. That dispute, good-ness, Amara felt like shit because of what she had done since Olivia got to her and she realized she was being a stupid-head. Every thing she and Riley had shared, the friendship, the memories, the every thing, was ruined because she was a nosey butt and decided to just call him jealous and just get into an argument with him.
All the shutting down began as soon as she got home. She locked herself in her room and didn’t come out. Oh but when she did come out, oh lordy the other Du’Mont girls were in trouble. She was throwing things, yelling things, using cuss words like a sailor, but worse than a sailor. She really, was just not herself and wasn’t pleasant at all. The other Du’Mont girls pretty much just ignored her. She was never like that until that very moment. She normally kept herself away from that kind of pain. She didn’t exactly, have any thing to be mad about besides the fact that she was lied to, and that Oliver kissed her, but Riley, he had reason to. Amara pretty much ripped out his heart, ran it over with a bulldozer, threw it through a window, grabbed it, threw it down a flight of stairs, retrieved it, stepped on it then returned it back to Riley. She felt horrible now. Before, she couldn’t care less. But thanks to Olivia, Amara realized how much of an ass she was.
Even as Riley was talking, Amara started to drift, yes, she was listening to him still, but she started to drift off into her own little world. Watching his feet go back and forth Amara’s eyes were caught by the hand prints in the sidewalk leading to her door. She remember the day that she, Kaylene, Bree, her mom, and her dad put their hands into that sidewalk. Amara was about, seven, Kaylene was six and Bree was five. Well, her parents were young still, but they were old at the same time. It was when they were a perfect little family. Before Kay was being abused by their father. Their family was perfect. The day they put their hand prints into that sidewalk was the last good memory, that Amara held onto of her father and herself. Leo was always kind to Amara, for her early years at least and he loved his first born to pieces. He always held her hand and he always helped her. When she put her hand into the sidewalk, it was no different. He helped her out. She had a beautiful dress on and she, being herself, got the cement all over her hands and then touched her hands together and kinda started playing with it. Leo stepped in to help her wash off her hands. It was a good memory. Though, after he was taken away Amara realized how many times he had, touched her weirdly, he never hurt her, he would just touch her weirdly and she was kinda just used to it really. Which was weird that she was used to such a thing, but she really was. Shivering a little bit, mainly from the cold and the horrible memory, Amara looked up as Riley finish his little speech slash rant type thing. (she heard every thing he said, she was a good multi-tasker). Looking at Riley and his eyes, she really realized at that moment how much she needed Riley Micheals in her life. How much she missed him. How that hole in her heart was missing because she thought she had lost him. For good. When Olivia told her he was moving back, any time now, she completely died pretty much. She couldn’t lose him. The way they ended things, the way they ended their friendship, it just, killed Amara. And she could only imagine how much it killed him. Actually, he just told her pretty much.
That accent, those eyes, that beautiful hair, gorgeous face, the smell, the breath, she missed it. Every single part of him she missed. Seven days, was a hella long time to be away from her best friend. Ex best friend. She wasn’t sure any more. But she missed him. And she could only smile that he was standing before her now, but she had to hold it back. This was a serious moment. And when he said those words, those simple seven words, Amara kinda just fell back, with shack. Still standing, hey she wasn’t clumsy. Well, that clumsy. She was in heels, she was raised in heels, she knew how to save herself from falling on her ass and embarrassing herself while in heels. And those lips, touched hers, she pretty must just lost it. He kissed her. His lips, touched hers. She wasn’t expecting it after his rant. She figured it would be a long argument and them just hugging and going their separate ways. Though, they were best friends. No one would give up a best friend-ship with Riley Micheals, unless they wanted to be called crazy. If Kaylene was watching she was probably going insane inside. Kaylene was a weird-oh. When their lips finally parted, Amara could do nothing but smile for a few minutes. Arms wrapped around his neck, and a smile just on her face, Amara got her words to finally come out of her mouth. ”I don’t know whether I should say, isn’t this what got us in trouble the first time. Or if I should say, are you sure you and Oliver are related, cause that was so much better than Oliver. So, I'll say both” Ahh, miss Amara and her dang jokes. She couldn’t go a few minutes with just arguing. Though, there was no proof of this within the past few days. But hey, she could only do so much right. Amara smiled at Riley again. Every thing seemed perfect. She kept the whole, leaving idea, in the back of her mind, trying not to think about it to much. She loved this moment to much, to risk going into details about him going back to Australia. This, was perfect.

There was nothing less than he wanted to, than to go back home. He had found that he had a better home here, than he could ever have back in Australia. Really, it wasn’t like there was a question to it, he wasn’t welcomed at home, Riley knew as much, they wanted to just have a possession to him, like they could claim that they actually have a son. It was pretty much, just a lie that they wanted to have between themselves and the people that they associated with. For all Riley knew, they could just tell their friends that they adopted a near do well child from Canada, and they were so pleased to have him apart of the family. Like their friends would even question it, they probably wouldn’t have remembered him from several years ago, he was never apart of their social picture to begin with. He wanted to be here, with the family that he has established, with the ones that he actually cared about. Oliver and Olivia wouldn’t be able to survive without him, all three of them have had a structure to how they lived, Oliver would be protective, be there for them. Olivia was the motherly figure that kept the boys together, even if the times were rough, and Riley was the one that was sane and safe to say the one that everyone could look up to, sure Oliver was the oldest, but Riley had a spark to them that made them all a sort of unity. Sure they could take care of one another, the brother and sister could, but without Riley their family was split and torn from what they had established.
Then there was a world that he had with the friends that he had made. Of course he had a few other friends that he could entrust, the ones that he loved and enjoyed to be around. One of those, well one of the only ones that really mattered to him, was his best friend Amara. She and he had done a lot together, without one another there always seemed to be a hole when he couldn’t hang out with Amara, there was something special about her, that he loved to be around. Maybe it was because he loved her more than just a best friend, but those times were a treasure to him. Something and certainly moments that he wouldn’t forget easily, unless he started to have a memory loss problem or amnesia. Though he was sure that he would find the way back to those good times if given the time and chance. Amara and Oliver would make sure that he would remember them. And the thoughts that he once had. Though that was pretty sad, if he had lost his memories of the good times, it was fairly depressing almost as depressing that he would soon have to leave this place, and leave those that he loved the most behind as well.
It wasn’t fair that he hadn’t given her the proper talk that he had wanted to give her about him leaving, that it wasn’t a choice, it was you go or your not apart of your family. Sure it wasn’t already apart of the family, he was seventeen going on eighteen living in Canada while his parents were living it up in Australia. Of course he had Oliver and Olivia, whom were in fact apart of his actual family, but they were cousins, it wasn’t the same as living it up with parents, that you know actually loved you, when you had a good relationship with the parents that had helped conceive you like a normal family, not the kind that believed that they were like royalty, and could just banish their son off to some strange country because they felt like it and didn’t feel like they could deal with a rogue teenager. It wasn’t like he was that bad, he just wanted to go out and enjoy life, out in the woods, of their home. It wasn’t like he was deliberately running away from them, he actually had loved his parents deeply when he had went on that trip, and he certainly didn’t know that it would end up like this in the end. He didn’t know that he was going to resent his parents so much, that he would fall in love with a girl that he was soon destined to have to leave, that he would find a true family in two cousins who were also as rogue as he was. That his life would take a road that he would never see himself going down, till this very moment, that he realized that he didn’t want it to all change, and that it was slowly coming to a crashing end. Devastating.
Riley was happy to finally be given the chance to finally explain everything to her, to finally have those moments when his life had been shattered when she was so far away from him. During that period that he knew that he couldn’t leave it like that. That he needed Amara, and that he really did love her. Finally he could give her a true and positive reason to why he wanted to be here, his reasoning’s, everything could be placed on the table. Then their lips had touched, he had finally gotten the chance to prove to her that he was falling for her, and he had fallen hard, it wasn’t a lie, it wasn’t him just being a jealous idiot, he Riley Michaels, was in love Amara Du’Mont. And he was going to ensure that she knew it, before he had to leave, before he had to say goodbye to her, forever.
He looked down at his feet, after they broke away from their kiss. There was always this point of awkward, when they had nothing to say. Riley, peered at her, Amara’s arms wrapped around his neck. Sign number one that the girl wasn’t going to punch you, when they were smiling. His eyes looked at the house, wondering if any of her sisters were watching them. He smiled, and shook the thought from his mind. It didn’t matter if anyone saw them, he didn’t care, Riley was happy that he could share this moment with Amara, without anyone judging, without anyone laughing or pointing at them. He brushed her hair behind her ear, and chuckling. ”Yeah well, it was the only way that I knew, to prove to you, that I actually cared for you, that I wasn’t lying to you, about anything. That. I just didn’t want to, get you away from Oliver, because I was a jealous git.” Riley admitted to her, his smooth accent escaping threw his words. Riley shook his head. ”I am almost super positive that myself and Oliver are related. How else do you think, I didn’t punch him when he did kiss you?” Riley admitted with a crooked grin. He sighed, knowing that all of this wasn’t going to last much longer, not with him leaving, in the morning. ”I’m sorry. That you heard about me leaving, threw Olivia and not from me, she spoke for me, when I couldn’t have spoken to you. But. I am leaving. Soon. There isn’t anything that I can do, to stop it. Its like a royal reprieve. I have to go back. Their still my parents.” he told her quietly, resting his chin atop of her head. This was going to, be worst than her not speaking to him. Him, not being able to see her smiling face.
